Goldy is a budgeting app, designed to make keeping track of everyday spending simpler, easier to read and less cold.

What Goldy is, and what it is not

Goldy is

  • A tool to note down your transactions, plan ahead for your expenses and keep track of your savings.
  • An app that does its calculations from what you enter.
  • A companion, Goldy, who explains your figures in simple words.

Goldy is not

  • A bank: it does not hold your money and does not connect to your accounts.
  • A financial adviser: it makes no investment recommendations.
  • An AI that manages your money: you decide everything, Goldy explains.

Our philosophy

Three principles.

  1. Simplicity

    A few screens, everyday words and estimates presented as such. Budgeting should stay a light habit, not a chore.

  2. Privacy

    No bank connection, no targeted advertising, no audience measurement. Your financial data is used only for your budget.

  3. Local by default

    Your budget is saved on your device and works offline. Goldy answers your questions there. Goldy Cloud is optional and asks for your consent.

A single calculation engine

The Web and Windows apps rely on the same financial engine and the same data format. A backup made on one opens on the other, and both show the same figures.

Free, with no hidden catch

Goldy is free. You can support the project if you wish: support does not give access to any extra feature.

What’s next?

Reliability and privacy remain the priority. A native mobile app is being considered, with no date announced: in the meantime, Goldy Web works on your phone.
